Dat Sh*t Cray for ISS (not Space) at record high

(Tom Sjogren) Check out the chart below. Interest for the International Space Station (ISS) is at 8-year record level. The climb started late 2011 and has really spiked in 2012.

So what's going on? Are we finally getting more interest for space and space travel?

Checking out Google Insight for "space" the curve is heading down so clearly people's interest in space is not related.

Continuing our unscientific road through the statistics we don't seem to find any correlating key words that could explain the trend until we go for "Elon Musk". Looks like the Elon-factor is now rubbing off on NASA and ISS.

It's hard to get excited about anything NASA is doing related to human space travel (we did check the NASA curve - and it's all downhill), but they have two hits on their hands: Angry Birds Space and Elon Musk getting ready to dock with ISS.

Not exactly going back to the moon and beyond, but many likes (or Dat Sh*t Cray) should help with the budget during an election year.
